February 21 - Hospitality Today

What about today? What is the quality of preparation for service to God among His children today? Is pleasing Him and doing His work in the world first in the minds and hearts of believers? Are we good stewards of the gifts and talents He so lovingly graced us with? Remember, every good and perfect gift comes from God.

At the first Christmas, the Lord gave His very best to the world. He gave His only Son to us and for us. As God gave His best to us, we must in turn give our best to Him. Believers, meditate and pray that God will guide us in glorifying Him. Do not insult our Lord as Simon the Pharisee did. If you discover your heart has a ungracious, Simon-attitude toward the Lord, find out why your heart would be so hard toward Him and realize His goodness and love toward you as expressed in His great gift to us. God will show us how to honor Him if we only ask. Let Him not find one Simon among us.
