"And he saw also a certain poor widow casting in thither two mites. And he said, Of a truth I say unto you, that this poor widow hath cast in more than they all:…." Luke 21:2,3.

When we give to the Lord by giving to the church, what happens to the money? Are you wondering about things like this to yourself: "I hope the church leadership doesn't mess up and misuse my money on some foolish project." Or do you say to God: "I know that I am giving this to you out of love and faith to you. You see the sacrifice I am making, and I know that you are good and honorable and will ensure that this money will be used for your kingdom." Which are you? Are you a faith-giver, like the widow with the two mites? Or are you a doubt-giver, like the person who thinks that all God's tithes and offerings are controlled by men for men's purposes?

If you give to God, believing that He will use it for His purposes, then He will. Do we serve a sovereign God who controls all things? Do we serve a loving God who will honor those who put their faith in Him? Do we think that He is somehow unable to overrule the foolishness of man in the use of the resources given to Him? Faith is the hardest thing, but it is the most important thing.
