February 17 - His Sympathy

"As a father pities his children, so the Lord pities those who fear Him. For He knows our frame; He remembers that we are dust. As for man, hi days are like grass; as a flower of the field, so he flourishes. For the wind passes over it, and it is gone, and its place remembers it no more. But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear Him, …."
- Psalm 103:2-4.

Our lives are temporary, and everything we do is temporary. However, God knows that and does not want our lives to be wasted. Our plans for our church are committed to Him, and He will bring to pass what He desires for His kingdom. We cannot know all that He has planned. And it is right that things be that way, so that we can rely on Him totally, and He can sovereignly accomplish all His plan. He will not be uncaring toward our church's plan to build, especially because her goal is to proclaim the Word of God, which "endures forever (I Peter 1:25, quoting
Isaiah. 40:8.)."
