The Worship Arts Ministry fulfills an important role in the corporate worship of the Lord and in community life here at First Presbyterian Church. Under the direction of William Harper, Director of Music and Worship Arts, the Worship Arts Team facilitates opportunities for inward and outward focused ministry by members of our church in music and other artistic activities. We are called to worship together across generations and we seek to foster a creative environment where members of all ages share their talents with one another and our community for the Glory of the Creator who bestows the gift.
Music has a unique quality that speaks to our souls, touches the depths of who we are, and raises us toward the throne of God. It continues to be the driving force in our worship arts ministry. Christy Henson, our gifted pianist/organist along with the Sanctuary Choir faithfully assists our worship and inspires us in our morning services.
One-Eighty is the student ministry of First Presbyterian Church. Our mission is to immerse ourselves in the youth culture of Prattville in order to expand the Kingdom of God. Our meetings, activities, and ministries are designed to boldy challenge students from a “church background” to participate in God’s mission in the world, as well as engage seeker, atheist, agnostic and indifferent students in our greater community with the gospel of Jesus Christ. We meet on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. and Sundays at 7:00 p.m. after evening worship.
Young Church Musicians & Singers
The Young Church Musicians began as a ministry in 2007. Children and youth learn and prepare hymns and spiritual songs as a service to the church and community. On a weekly basis, they play for Sunday School classes. They have played for many regular Sunday and special services, as well as going to homes of shut-ins and the 3M’s (More Mature Members). Coaching and instruction for pianists is provided by Christy Henson and the same for instrumentalists by William Harper. They meet at 6 pm on Sunday nights for individual and group rehearsal as well as activities and games. Tomorrow’s church musicians are the children of today! All children and youth who already take private music lessons are encouraged to be a part of this wonderful ministry.

The FirstKidz Children’s Choir often brings together kids of all ages to present special musical programs that present the love of Christ to audiences and participants alike. The children sing in the main morning service at least six times per year.
We offer a number of special programs each year at our facilities and in the City of Prattville. We have hosted a number of nationally known artists like pianist, Marilynn Ham and have organized cooperative concerts and events with other area churches. If you have questions or want more information, please contact William Harper at 365-6387 or william@fpcministries.org

The purpose of the Women In the Church is that every woman know Christ personally and be committed to extending His kingdom in her life, home, church, community, and throughout the world.”
The foundation of this purpose statement is a covenantal understanding of the church. God has entered into a grace-relationship with us and bound Himself to us in covenant faithfulness. Our relationship with Him is personal, but it is not individual. The covenant is corporate. Our relationship with God puts us into the covenant community. We have covenant privileges and responsibilities in the community. We are to live with one another in a way that reflects our covenant relationship with God.

Children's Ministry
A child’s relationship with Jesus Christ is the single most important part of their life, and it is our privilege to be able to help our children on this journey. It is our aim to partner with parents to teach and encourage our children to lead a life of obedience and dedication to God. Proverbs 22:6, tells us to “Train up and child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not turn from it”. Therefore it is vitally important that we take the responsibility of teaching and encouraging our children to have a life-long relationship with Jesus Christ. We do this through the following age appropriate classes and ministries.
